    Club Description:

The club has members with many years of restoring and enjoying Mustangs under their belts, and we also have members who have just purchased their first ponycar and are looking for some guidance and fellowship. We have seminars and other educational discussions to help preserve and improve our ponycars or to make them run a little faster.
You can take advantage of the lessons we have learned from the "school of hard knocks". We can tell you where to get your transmission rebuilt competently, or where to get your convertible top replaced. If you want to try "do-it-yourself", we can provide the advice only experience can bring to make the job easier.
Our members cherish their Mustangs, which range from early model hardtop daily-drivers to brand-new V-6 and V-8 powered ponycars. We also have members who own some of the more prized Mustang derivatives, such as the early model Shelby and late model Saleen Mustangs. We conduct regular monthly business meetings and get-togethers.
We conduct a yearly car show for charity, and we also participate in the various monthly "Cruise-ins" attended by most car clubs within the Montgomery area.

    Club Description:

Southern Stang is a Mustang club that welcomes and appreciates all years of Ford Mustangs. We strive to provide safe, fun, and interesting activities and events for our members and the local community. We also cooperate with local businesses and car clubs to host events and cruise-ins for car enthusiasts. We primarily serve the Shelby County area (Pelham/Alabaster) but also host or participate in events in a wide area surrounding the Greater Birmingham Area and in the Montgomery area with our sister club, Tri County Mustang Club. Our cars range from full resto's, project cars, mildly modified and highly modified cars. Many of our members enjoy restoring, repairing, and modifying their Mustangs and gladly share their assistance or knowledge with others. Our club also uses a different operating model than many traditional officer oriented clubs and we offer a fresh, laid back, member driven curriculumn free of the politics that often interfere with the true goal, the appreciation of the Ford Mustang.
